The Prague State Opera ballet is opening the new season on Sunday, September 5, with two performances, at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., of its production of Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake. Pavel Ďumbala’s and Hana Vláčilová’s classically inspired choreography draws consistently on the original concept of Lev Ivanov and Marius Petipa.

Prague, Czech Republic (Pressweb) - Members of the government's reinstated National Economic Council [NERV in the Czech acronym] held their first meeting today. Prime Minister Petr Nečas plans regular monthly meetings for the council, which should deal with six areas in individual project teams.

Czech government approved the coalition proposal to limit the parliamentary immunity granted to the members of the parliament and senators by amending the Constitutional Act. The proposal will be discussed between the coalition government representatives and the opposition Czech Social Democratic Party.
